Key responsibilities include Weighing and recording: Operate scales to weigh inbound and outbound vehicles, record weights and other relevant data, and create tickets or invoices for transactions. Logistics and dispatch: Prioritize and coordinate the movement of vehicles, crews, or equipment. Use radio, phone, or computer to send field units to appropriate locations. Monitor routes and schedules to optimize resource allocation and ensure timely service. Communication: Communicate with drivers, customers, and field personnel. Address problems, answer questions, and provide solutions to issues that arise. Data management: Enter data into a computer system and maintain detailed logs of calls, activities, and inventory. Prepare daily delivery schedules and coordinate with customer requirements. Scale maintenance: Perform routine checks and calibrations on scales to ensure accuracy.
