About The Position

Soccer Shots East and South San Diego is looking for passionate, part-time soccer coaches to teach children ages 2-10 the joy of soccer. Coaches will bring 'Soccer Island' alive with enthusiasm and creativity, conducting soccer sessions that include field set-up and take-down, while encouraging character development through positive reinforcement. The role involves utilizing expert-created Soccer Shots’ curriculum and early childhood development teaching techniques, fostering a safe and inclusive environment, and effectively communicating with families, caregivers, and teachers.

Requirements

• No prior sports/coaching experience required.
• Genuine passion for children, child development, and sports.
• Energetic, engaging, and responsible.
• Safety conscious.
• Ability to adapt to the needs of kids ages 2-10.
• Reliable and insured transportation.
• Ability to stand, jog, and model children’s soccer skills.
• Coaches must have or obtain state-required clearances.

Responsibilities

• Conduct soccer sessions for children 2 to 10 years old, including field set-up and take-down.
• Encourage character development through positive reinforcement and modeling.
• Utilize expert-created Soccer Shots’ curriculum and early childhood development teaching techniques in every session.
• Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
