The Campus Safety Officer serves as the first point of contact for community members and visitors accessing Goucher’s campus. The Campus Safety Officer is responsible for maintaining safety and security on Goucher’s campus, primarily through access control. Employees will be assigned to evening, night, or rotating shifts, including holidays and weekends. They may also be called in for overtime as needed. Officers must be prepared to work outdoors in all weather conditions and be available for duty at all hours to ensure the continuous operation of the agency. Additional responsibilities include managing security at high-profile and campus-wide events, ensuring attendee safety, coordinating with event staff, and monitoring activities.
