About The Position

The Part-Time Building Inspector role involves conducting regular on-site inspections of condominium buildings managed by Connected Property Management in Chicago. The inspector will perform visual reviews to identify maintenance concerns, safety issues, and other relevant details, culminating in detailed reports for property managers and condominium boards. This position requires a commitment to both fieldwork and office reporting, with a structured schedule of 20-30 hours per week.

Requirements

• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Word and word processing.
• Intermediate computer skills, including downloading photos and managing files.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license with a clean record.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections of condominium buildings to identify maintenance and safety issues.
• Prepare detailed reports based on inspection findings for property managers and condominium boards.
• Spend approximately 65% of time in the field conducting inspections and 35% in the office creating reports.
• Utilize a company vehicle for transportation to inspection sites and ensure all necessary equipment is used during inspections.
