A Part Time Gordon Food Service Box Truck Driver will present a positive image to Gordon Restaurant Market customers through courteous, on-time, and accurate deliveries of GFS products and serve as liaison between GFS management and customers. Have safe work habits, working knowledge of box truck or refrigerated van and the ability to deal effectively with customers and the public!

Requirements

Ability to adhere to all safety/compliance regulations and procedures.
Must maintain a professional appearance wearing the GFS uniform.
This position requires punctuality, problem solving and attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to work independently and also function in a team environment.
Ability to read, write, understand and communicate in the English language.
Ability to meet the physical demands of this job including lifting, pushing, pulling of product.
Must be able to operate a two-wheeled hand truck with a load weighing up to 350 pounds.
Ability to operate on-board computer and handheld scanner.
Some basic knowledge of computer operations.
High School Diploma (or equivalent) plus one year previous driving experience and one year experience in customer service or related field
Must have or be able to obtain a DOT Physical before start date
Valid Unrestricted Driver’s License (required)
No drug or alcohol offenses in the last 3 years
Must be at least 21 years of age

Responsibilities

Ensure safe, accurate, timely, and efficient deliveries of GFS products.
Build and maintain good customer relationships.
Accurately collect customer payments.
Safeguard company funds and follows GFS banking policies.
Perform all Sales Service functions by the 90th day of employment.
Perform proper equipment maintenance, monitor reefer temperature, and reports mechanical issues and damages in a timely manner.
Complete daily check-ins in a timely manner with no errors.
Manage paperwork to include register, credits, pick-ups, etc
Perform daily pre/post trip inspection of vehicles and equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned either in store or driver related
