About the position

The Part-time Bookkeeper/Order Processor role involves performing various accounting, bookkeeping, and order processing tasks to support the Office Manager and Accountant. The position requires maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and processing wholesale and drop ship orders, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and organization.

Responsibilities

  • Provide accounting and clerical support to the company's office manager
  • Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
  • Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings, and statements
  • Daily enter key data of financial transactions in the database
  • Provide assistance and support to company personnel
  • Research, track, and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
  • Process wholesale and direct to consumer orders and reorders
  • Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas

Requirements

  • Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or Accounts Payable Clerk
  • Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
  • Experience with Quickbooks
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Aptitude for numbers
  • Ability to accurately process orders
  • Data entry and word processing skills
  • Well organized
  • Associate's degree or relevant certification is a plus
