About The Position
Part-Time Bilingual Interventionist @ Chambers Elementary ( Internal employees: Set to your account to internal before applying at https://aisd.schoolspring.com/internaljobsettings ) Will work with small groups of students who need instructional intervention in primary bilingual reading and math to help develop student skills from learning loss. As needed for the current school year. The funding for this position is federally funded for the current school year. Continuation of the position is contingent upon availability of future funds. Certified Teachers - $30 per hour Non-Certified/Degreed - $25 per hour Retiree rates may differ ( Internal employees: Set to your account to internal before applying at https://aisd.schoolspring.com/internaljobsettings ) Hourly rates listed above are subject to change depending on the funding allocated for the specific job you may be hired for.
Requirements
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment
- Strong desire to make a difference and work with struggling learners
- Excellent human relations skills
Nice To Haves
- Bachelors degree from a recognized, accredited college or university preferred
- Valid bilingual educator certification for position(s) of interest preferred
- Valid ESL certification preferred
- Knowledge of state curriculum preferred
- Experienced certified teacher preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide intervention in accordance with the philosophy of the reading curriculum of Alief ISD
- Will collaborate with teachers and specialists
- Will track student progress
- Will participate in on-going professional development
- Experience working with children who have difficulties in specified content area(s)
