About The Position

Responsibilities of the Part-Time Behavior Analyst role include supervision, maintenance and implementation of appropriate social skills based programs for children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorders. This position will support the Kinney Center’s Camp Kinney summer program. Responsibilities also include supervision of undergraduate and graduate student staff members.

Requirements

  • Required Master's degree in ABA, Special Education, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience working with the autism population
  • Completion or near completion of required supervision hours for BCBA test eligibility
  • Ability to pass BCBA certification exam prior to August 2026

Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with the Director of Programs, develop individualized programs for learners with autism while training undergraduates in the field of autism and best practices.
  • Oversight of Camp Kinney programming including data and progress monitoring and training and supervision of undergraduate and graduate students.
  • Supervise undergraduate and graduate students working at the Kinney Center and remain current on best practices, important research, and new laws and procedures in the field of autism.
  • Regular communication with program participants and their family throughout the program.
  • Act as a resource to families regarding learner progress and general program information.
  • Supervise and conduct functional behavioral assessments, functional analyses and write behavior intervention plans as needed.
  • Assist with the review of program applicants and the acceptance/orientation process.
  • Determine appropriate placement of participants in programs.
  • Set up individualized programs for participants of a variety of age ranges and ability levels.
  • Monitor and organize progress summaries and data collection for each individual participant based on data collected throughout the program and provide this information to families at the conclusion of each program.
  • Experience in crisis management and serves as a resource for navigating difficult situations surrounding program participants.
  • Assist with Autism Spectrum Disorder trainings to Saint Joseph’s University staff and students.
