About The Position

Calling all coffee lovers! Yolked Kitchen is seeking a Weekend Barista to support our coffee and bar operations, assist with to-go orders, and help keep our space welcoming and well-stocked. Weekend availability only, 4–6 hour shifts Position Summary: The Barista at Yolked Kitchen is responsible for preparing high-quality espresso and coffee beverages while delivering friendly, efficient service to our guests. This role supports both the coffee bar and main bar operations, assists with to-go orders, and helps maintain a clean, well-stocked, and welcoming environment. The Barista also plays a key role in coaching and supporting servers on espresso beverage knowledge and standards.

Requirements

Previous Barista or coffee experience preferred (espresso experience a plus)
Basic knowledge of espresso drinks, coffee preparation, and equipment
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and standards
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Friendly, positive attitude with a guest-first mindset
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules.
Ability to multitask and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
Completion of Food Handler’s Certification required within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

Prepare espresso-based beverages and coffee drinks according to Yolked Kitchen recipes and specifications
Take coffee and to-go orders accurately and efficiently
Stock and maintain the coffee bar area, including supplies, cups, lids, syrups, and garnishes
Perform daily breakdown, cleaning, and maintenance of the espresso machine and coffee equipment
Assist the bar team with glassware, bar prep, and garnishes as needed
Coach and train servers on espresso beverages, menu offerings, and proper preparation standards
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar and surrounding areas throughout the shift
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines
Provide friendly, attentive, and professional guest service at all times
Support team members and assist with additional duties as assigned
Maintain health and safety regulations at all kitchen and dining areas
Side work as assigned
Run food/drinks as needed
Set up tables and chairs for private events and special occasions
