About The Position

The Retail Team Lead at Office Depot is a part-time position focused on providing comprehensive solutions to customers, including products, technology, services, furniture, and print offerings. This role emphasizes building customer relationships, supporting a customer-centric environment, and contributing to a positive workplace culture aligned with Office Depot's core values. The Team Lead will engage with customers, drive sales, and ensure satisfaction while also taking on key carrier responsibilities, including opening and closing the store.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent education preferred.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Sales and/or Customer Service experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use technology for job-related tasks.
  • Advanced selling skills and strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and assist others professionally.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail to ensure high-quality production in the Print Services area.
  • Demonstrated passion for the brand and products offered.

Responsibilities

  • Support efficient operation in the Print function while driving overall store sales.
  • Assist associates on all equipment within the Print Services area to maintain production efficiency and ensure client orders are completed correctly and on-time.
  • Utilize communication tools to request assistance within the Print Services area and coordinate appropriate service for customers.
  • Process merchandise accurately and efficiently, adhering to established procedures and visual merchandising standards.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement plans to reduce waste and inefficiencies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and support loss prevention efforts.
  • Drive positive client satisfaction levels by coaching and training associates to enhance the customer experience.
  • Support community outreach initiatives to drive client retention.
  • Develop personal selling skills and product knowledge through provided sales and service tools.
  • Ensure safety and security of the building and associates during the absence of management team.
  • Perform opening or closing responsibilities, including activating/deactivating the store's alarm system and reviewing cash handling processes.
