Part-time Associate (Overnight Load Crew)

About the position

The Part-Time Associate (Overnight Load Crew) plays a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining store operations. This position involves stocking shelves, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining cleanliness and organization within the store. Associates are expected to assist customers, handle transactions, and support the overall shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a store section as assigned and may order, receive and stock merchandise using proper equipment.
• Ensure proper pricing on merchandise and check product date codes for rotation.
• Stock shelves, end displays, floor stacks, displays, and refrigerated/frozen cases.
• Prepare perishable products for sale and set up advertising/promotional displays.
• Review invoices/bills for accuracy and maintain sanitation standards in all areas of the store.
• Operate a cash register, receive payment from customers, and process transactions.
• Verify customer eligibility when selling alcoholic beverages and assist customers with loading purchases into their vehicles.
• Perform basic bookkeeping duties and record lost/damaged goods and store supplies.

Requirements

• Ability to read and write English and interact with the general public and co-workers.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, and pricing codes.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in small group situations.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
