About The Position

Guidepost Montessori at Burr Ridge is hiring a Part-Time Assistant Teacher (also referred to as an Assistant Guide). This position is approximately 25 hours per week, ideally Monday - Friday, 1:00pm - 6:00pm. Assistant Guides play a crucial role in fostering independence, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning in children aged 0–6. The role involves supporting a mixed-age Montessori classroom (Infant, Toddler, and Children’s House ages 3–6) by creating a calm, engaging environment where children can explore and learn at their own pace. Assistant Guides help prepare intentional learning spaces and support children through individualized and small-group activities with respect, patience, and care, ultimately helping children build confidence. Requirements

• Experience working with children ages 3–6 in a school or childcare setting
• A positive, adaptable, and collaborative mindset
• A genuine love for working with young children
• Interest in learning and growing within the Montessori approach

Nice To Haves

• Prior Montessori experience is welcome but not required
