About The Position

Felician University is presently seeking an energetic and goal-oriented Assistant Softball Coach to support all aspects of a NCAA national Collegiate softball program. Reporting to the Head Softball Coach, the Assistant Coach provides instruction in the development of physical skills and techniques required for participation in the sport, rules, regulations and equipment needs associated with the sport and leadership skills. S/he supports the Head Coach in assessing player skills, monitoring academic progress of the students, identifying equipment needs and ensuring adherence to NCAA Division II and Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference rules and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required; may be waived with significant coaching experience.
• 1+ years' collegiate coaching experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA Division II and Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference rules and regulations.
• Proven ability to engage effectively with a diverse constituency of students, assistant coaches, and colleagues.
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct all interactions (on the field and off) in a respectful and professional manner.
• Ability and willingness to support and promote the Felician Franciscan core values and mission of the University.
