Southern New Hampshire University's traditional campus is seeking a part-time Assistant Coach for our women's lacrosse team, located onsite in Manchester, NH. This role is pivotal in supporting the Head Coach in leading and implementing preseason and season practices, ensuring that our athletes are well-prepared and performing at their best. The Assistant Coach will be involved in monitoring conditioning programs, providing input on the evaluation of athletes' performance and progress, and evaluating opponents' performance through scouting. This position also includes responsibilities related to recruitment, where the Assistant Coach will actively seek out prospective student-athletes who can contribute to the team's success. In addition to coaching duties, the Assistant Coach will participate in planning events, including fundraising and other special functions, and will be responsible for transporting university vans to and from practices, games, playoffs, and coaches' meetings. Attendance at the annual athletic awards banquet, NE-10 conference meetings, all-star balloting or voting meetings, and SNHU Athletic Department meetings is required. The role is governed by NCAA rules and regulations, and the Assistant Coach must develop a working knowledge of these regulations, passing the NCAA Certification exam as part of their responsibilities. Any violations of NCAA regulations could lead to disciplinary actions, including suspension or termination. The Assistant Coach will also manage the team's social media accounts, ensuring that the team's presence is strong and engaging. This position requires a valid driver's license and the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check, as driving the team van is part of the job. The work hours for this position are varied to meet the demands of the business, reflecting the dynamic nature of collegiate athletics.
