About The Position
Penn State Berks invites applications for the position of part-time Assistant Baseball Coach. This role is integral to the baseball program at Penn State Berks, which is an NCAA Division III institution and a member of the United East Conference. The Assistant Baseball Coach will work closely with the head coach to support various aspects of the baseball program. Responsibilities may include recruiting new players, coaching during practice sessions, and providing guidance during competitions. The position requires a commitment to the development of student-athletes and the promotion of a positive team culture. The Assistant Coach will report directly to the Director of Athletics through the head coach, ensuring alignment with the overall goals of the athletics department. The successful candidate will be expected to assist in organizing practices, developing game strategies, and fostering an environment that encourages student-athletes to excel both on and off the field. This position may also involve administrative duties related to the baseball program, including compliance with NCAA regulations and maintaining communication with prospective recruits. The role requires availability for practices and competitions, which may occur during evenings and weekends. Additionally, the Assistant Coach must be prepared to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold, as practices and games are held outside.
