The Dixon Group is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented part-time Assembler to join their Boss Division in Chestertown, MD! In this hands-on position, you will play a key role in producing high-quality sand-cast hose clamps through high-volume manual assembly. If you enjoy consistent, repetitive work and take pride in meeting daily production goals, this could be the perfect fit. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required (current high school students are welcome to apply)
- Strong finger and hand dexterity for manipulating small parts
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Basic math skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Ability to lift and maneuver components up to 50lbs throughout the shift
- Team-oriented mindset and strong communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Responsibilities
- Manually assemble Dixon Boss Clamps, ensuring proper orientation and the precise assembly of nuts and bolts.
- Maintain clear communication with team members on the manufacturing floor
- Work safely around tools, equipment, and co-workers
- Lean to operate hand tools and basic machining equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Keep your workspace clean, organized, and production ready
- Communicate with employees on manufacturing floor
