About The Position
The Department of Entomology in the College of Agricultural Sciences is seeking applicants for a part-time job for the spring 2026 semester to assist with curation and identification of arthropod specimens received and collected by the Insect Identification Lab. Job duties to include: Curate arthropod samples, including pinning or pointing specimens as ap propriate, preserving in ethanol, and labelling Identify curated specimens to the family-, genus-, or species-level Database specimens following Darwin Core standards
Requirements
- Interest in insect biodiversity and museum collections
- Microsoft Excel
Nice To Haves
- Prior study of insect biodiversity preferred but not required
Responsibilities
