Vermont State University seeks an experienced instructor to teach cross-listed ART-3131 / ART-4133 Professional Studio Arts I and II in the Spring 2026 semester at the Castleton campus. This course is designed to help students transition into the professional fine arts world through the creation of a high-quality portfolio that demonstrates achievement of program outcomes and exemplifies individual areas of focus. In addition to the creation of new artwork, coursework will engage students in creating individualized career development materials and strategies, including C.V. and artist's statements. Students will explore exhibition opportunities, grants and residencies, graduate programs and legal considerations for artists.
