About The Position

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time and limited term faculty positions in the Department of Elementary & Early Childhood Education for the academic year 2025-2026. These positions are on an as needed, semester-by-semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with credentials. These positions are for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

Requirements

  • To teach undergraduate courses or supervise undergraduate students: A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Elementary Education or Early Childhood Education or a closely related discipline is required at the time of hire.
  • To teach graduate courses or supervise graduate students: A Terminal/Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Elementary Education or Early Childhood Education or a related discipline is required at the time of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Three or more years as a lead teacher in a PK-5 classroom in Georgia.
  • Experience as a teacher mentor or coach.
  • Experience teaching online or hybrid courses.
  • Experience teaching undergraduate education courses.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising elementary student teachers in local schools during their Yearlong Clinical Experience.
  • Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in elementary or early childhood education.
