About The Position

Summer Academy for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Youth Program is hiring a part time American Sign Language Interpreter, to assist from June 23-30, 2025.

Requirements

• Certification from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) and/or National Association of the Deaf (NAD).

Responsibilities

• Sign language interpreter will faithfully and accurately interpret spoken English to sign language and sign language to spoken English.
• Operate in accordance with the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf's (RID) code of professional conduct (CPC).
• Follow Summer Academy schedule and all the classes to which you are assigned.
• Consult and collaborate with communication access lead and other staff as needed.
• Consult with communication access lead on any schedule alterations and assignments.
• Communicate as needed with Summer Academy management staff about any programmatic or student needs.
