Part-time (M/W/F 2-4 p.m.) Afternoon Traffic Attendant
About The Position
General Purpose: To keep students and drivers safe while crossing the street and utilizing the parking lot and drop off/pickup lanes Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 10 hours/week Serve as a member of the traffic team to maintain safe parking lot and pedestrian processes Creating gaps in traffic, stopping traffic when necessary, and directing traffic flow Escorting children across the street, and helping them learn how to safely cross Effectively communicate safe expectations to drivers, students, and community members Reporting unsafe driver or student behavior to the school Set up signage or cones as needed Support parking lot controlled entry during event and early release days This description is not intended, and should not be construed, to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities of this job. Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or higher preferred
- Experience: None required
- Good common sense
- Ability to communicate well with students and parents
- Ability to resolve problems informally
- Fairness
