About The Position

A busy and active family with two working parents on the Upper West Side is seeking a part-time afternoon/evening nanny for their one-year-old and early school-aged child. The schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, 2-8pm with some flexibility.

Requirements

Warm and caring, with a playful energy and high level of engagement
Extremely reliable and punctual
Understanding of household boundaries as the family is quite private
Goal oriented- should enjoy setting goals for the child and executing those plans
Experience with early school-aged children and infants
US work authorization

Nice To Haves

Background in childhood education/development would be a huge benefit
Fluency in a second language would be a huge bonus!
Swimming is NOT required but would be a bonus!

Responsibilities

Accompany the older child home from school (within walking distance) and to after-school classes and play dates
Creating an engaging and fun environment
Preparing snacks and meals for the children
Child related laundry and tidying when needed
Infant care, including supervising sleep and feeding routines
Occasional travel to the family’s second home on Long Island
Providing one-on-one care to each child in partnership with other caregivers
