About The Position

The position involves instructing students in accordance with New York State licensing requirements for nail technology. The instructor will deliver engaging hands-on training in various areas including natural nail care techniques, safety and sanitation practices, bacteriology and infection control, manicure and pedicure procedures, artificial nail enhancement techniques, application of hard and soft UV gels and acrylics, nail art, color theory and design principles, as well as anatomy and physiology of the arms, hands, legs, and feet. The instructor is also responsible for preparing and implementing lesson plans that align with curriculum goals, monitoring students' progress, providing ongoing feedback and support, maintaining classroom cleanliness, and enforcing safety protocols to encourage a positive, professional learning environment.

Requirements

• Valid New York State Nail Technician License
• Minimum of five years of practical industry experience
• A strong background in nail and waxing techniques
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Eligible for or certified in Adult Education
