STCC is seeking an innovative and committed Adult Education Instructor to deliver engaging, student-centered mathematics instruction to adult learners. The instructor will design dynamic lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of learners, supporting their progress toward high school equivalency (HiSET/GED), college readiness, and workforce preparation. Instruction is delivered in both face-to-face and online formats; therefore, candidates must be comfortable teaching in both modalities as needed. Instructors develop multi-week unit plans featuring clear learning objectives and timed agendas aligned with the College and Career Readiness Standards for Adult Education(CCRSAE) and best instructional practices. This role emphasizes interdisciplinary integration by applying mathematics in real-world contexts, including science, social studies, and technology, to foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills. We seek an educator who can make math accessible, relevant, and empowering for adult learners with varied backgrounds and career goals. Additional responsibilities include developing and administering assessments, analyzing student progress, adapting curriculum and materials as needed, and maintaining accurate records of attendance and achievement. The instructor actively supports learners in identifying and pursuing career goals while building the college and career readiness skills necessary for successful transitions into employment, workforce training, and/or post-secondary education. The instructor works closely with the Education & Career Advisors to ensure student engagement and retention. By designing and implementing activities, projects, and assessments tailored to learners' skill levels, the instructor fosters a supportive and engaging learning environment.
