About The Position

The Barker Adoption Foundation is seeking licensed MSW's to provide home study and post placement services to prospective and parenting adoptive families! Experience in adoption, child welfare, and/or parent support services is preferred.
This is a part-time, PRN position with significant flexibility. It is a great fit for those who are seeking to work around children's schedules or other responsibilities, and for people who are looking for part-time opportunities to pair with a full-time job.
The successful candidates will possess at least an LGSW license (or higher) in MD or DC, with willingness & ability to attain licensure in both places.
Applicants must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel throughout DC, MD, and VA (as far as the VA Beach/Richmond area) to complete assessments. Excellent clinical, organizational, and writing skills required.

Compensation:
This role is structured as a per-unit, contract position. Social workers are compensated per completed home study, with payment tied to submission of required documentation and deliverables. Total compensation will vary depending on the number of cases assigned and completed.

Requirements
