Join the team at Mennonite Memorial Home , where we believe that meaningful engagement and joyful experiences are essential to quality of life. We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Activities Staff Member to help create and lead engaging programs for our residents. Position Summary: As a member of our Life Enrichment team, you’ll help plan and implement activities that promote socialization, creativity, physical movement, and cognitive stimulation. You’ll work closely with residents in both group and one-on-one settings to ensure their days are filled with purpose and enjoyment. Hours: Monday: 8-4:30p Wednesday: 10:30-7p Friday: 8-4:30p (One Saturday a month 8-noon)

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous experience working with older adults or in an activities/recreation role preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Compassionate, creative, and dependable
Ability to work some evenings and weekends as scheduled
Must be able to meet physical requirements including lifting, standing, and walking

Responsibilities

Assist in planning, organizing, and leading daily activities such as games, crafts, music, religious services, outings, and special events
Encourage resident participation and adapt activities to meet individual needs and abilities
Document resident attendance and engagement in activities
Help decorate and prepare common areas for events and seasonal celebrations
Transport and assist residents to and from activities within the facility
Collaborate with other departments to support resident wellbeing
