About The Position

Northwest Frozen is looking for a motivated, detail‑oriented Accounting Assistant to join our fast‑growing team. This role is ideal for an accounting student or early-career professional looking to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic food manufacturing environment. You will support day-to-day accounting operations while gaining exposure to supply chain and administrative processes that support the largest sushi factory in North America. We operate the largest sushi factory in North America, producing over one million pieces of sushi daily, along with a growing portfolio of restaurant-quality frozen and fresh ready meals.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with financial data.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 1 year of experience in an accounting or administrative role.
  • Fluency in Spanish.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks or other accounting/ERP systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes.
  • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.
  • Support financial data entry and record-keeping.
  • Assist with financial reporting and documentation preparation.
  • Participate in internal audits and process improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support finance operations.
  • Inventory cycle counts.
  • Preparation and organization of freight and supply chain documentation.
