About The Position
As a Part-Time Academy Youth Basketball Coach at HoopSphere, you will be responsible for teaching the fundamentals of basketball to children aged 5 to 17. This role focuses on developing essential skills such as footwork, ball handling, shooting technique, defense, and teamwork. Your primary goal will be to elevate the confidence and skills of each student by providing technical feedback and positive reinforcement. You will be expected to create a fun and engaging learning environment that fosters a love for the game while ensuring that each child receives personalized attention to help them improve their abilities. In this position, you will work primarily on weekday afternoons and evenings, as well as weekends as needed. A high level of understanding and passion for basketball is essential, and having played at a level beyond high school is a plus, as you will be encouraged to demonstrate drills and skills. Enthusiasm, effort, and energy are crucial attributes that you must bring to each class, along with patience and effective communication skills to engage with children of various ages. Coachability is also important, as our team will provide training to help you enhance your coaching techniques.
