About The Position
Southern New Hampshire University's Online Academic Support Center is seeking a Part-Time Online Academic Coach to support student learning skills in the SNHU Global Campus online learning environment. This remote-friendly position allows you to work from various approved states, provided you have a reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace free of distractions. As an Academic Coach, you will report to the Manager of Academic Support and play a crucial role in enhancing the learning experience for students at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. In this role, you will engage in relationship-based student coaching, focusing on the development of transferable learning and executive function skills through synchronous one-on-one and small group sessions. You will facilitate small group interactions that promote peer collaboration, social-emotional learning, and confidence-building among students. Additionally, you will support students with neuro-divergent learning differences, including those with dyslexia, ADHD, autism, anxiety disorders, and PTSD. Your responsibilities will also include participating in the creation of learning resources such as tutorial videos, handouts, workshops, and online interactive materials. By providing effective student support and promoting engaging learning experiences, you will positively impact the retention and success of online students. Maintaining confidentiality of all student records and information shared during tutoring sessions is paramount, and you may have additional responsibilities as assigned.
