The Part Straightener is responsible for inspecting and straightening metal parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Essential Functions To perform this job, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty. Manually straighten parts; round out ends or remove surface blemishes (e.g., scratches, gouges, nicks, dents), using shop aid blocks, hammers, sandpaper, as required Read work orders to determine specifications, such as materials to be used, locations of bend lines, or dimensions and tolerances; ensure parts meet quality standards and specifications Document work and maintain accurate records Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area (including machine surfaces) Follows directions consistently and accepts responsibility for actions and work product Complies with applicable manufacturing processes, work procedures, and supervisor instructions Adheres to safety guidelines and procedures; proactively identifies job hazards and collaborates with leadership to minimize hazards and ensure employee safety Performs other job-related duties as assigned Regular attendance on-site at the workplace is required
