About The Position

As an Assisting Hands CHHA, or Live-in, you’ll provide personal care, household support, and companion care services to help adults stay safe and independent at home. Following a written plan of care by a registered nurse, you will have the opportunity to develop close relationships with your clients while assisting them with activities of daily living, household support, meal preparation, and more. We have current job openings for Home Health Aides (HHAs) in various locations across Monmouth and Ocean County, NJ. We also offer Home Health Aide Certification Classes.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• One (1) year experience in the home or long-term care setting is preferred.
• Current HHA - Home Health Aide license listed in good standing with the board.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment within client’s residence.
• Performing personal care activities contained in a written Plan of Care.
• Providing nutritional support as needed.
• Reporting changes in the client’s condition.
• Assisting with the use of devices for aid to daily living.
• Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises.
• Teaching household routine and skills to family members.
• Measuring intake and output of fluids.
• Measuring and recording vital signs.
• Keeping records of personal health care activities.
• Observing appearance and behavioral changes in the client.
• Assisting the client with self-administration of medication.
• Abiding by the agency’s infection control policies and procedures.
