The Client Service Coordinator (CSC) at Banfield Pet Hospital plays a crucial role in managing the flow of clients and pets through the hospital. This position is responsible for maximizing the productivity of the veterinary medical team while ensuring excellent communication and care for clients and their pets. The CSC is expected to create a welcoming environment, educate clients about pet health, and promote hospital services to encourage client retention and referrals.

  • Drive the flow of clients and pets through the hospital to ensure superior client care.
  • Actively recruit new clients by promoting hospital services.
  • Maximize the number of pets seen by the hospital team through efficient operations.
  • Provide professional and exceptional service to clients and pets at all times.
  • Educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans and preventative care.
  • Assist incoming clients with documentation and pet information entry.
  • Manage outgoing client interactions, including providing instructions and invoices.
  • Maintain accurate financial balances and follow proper opening and closing procedures.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • At least 18 years old for duties involving radiography and exposure to radioactive substances.
  • One year of related experience required, preferably in customer service.
  • Medical background (veterinary technician, human healthcare, pharmaceutical, etc.) with medical terminology training is preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Organizational skills to manage assignments systematically.
  • Problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues effectively.
  • Client service skills to ensure attentive and courteous service.
  • Mathematical ability to perform basic calculations and conversions.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
  • Experience in a veterinary or medical setting.
  • Knowledge of pet health and wellness plans.
