About The Position

The mission of the Parole/Probation Specialist is to support the effective functioning of community corrections by managing the intake and processing of offenders, ensuring accurate data entry, and maintaining comprehensive offender records. This role is crucial in enhancing public safety by interpreting and coding sentencing documents, verifying offender data, and preparing detailed criminal records. This position is not a telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.

Requirements

Must possess a High School Diploma or its equivalent.
Please note, when submitting a college/university degree, if selected for this position official transcripts will be required.

Responsibilities

Enter and update offender information in the computer system, including sentencing and financial details.
Research and verify offender data to create accurate records and help with orientation programs.
Request and review criminal records and prepare prior records for new offenders.
Coordinate and monitor community service activities and job assignments for offenders.
Ensure data accuracy through quality checks and generate reports for management.
