About The Position

Requirements

  • Possession of a bachelor's degree in criminal justice, criminology, psychology, social work, or related fields.
  • For Parole/Probation Officer 10: One year of professional experience working with adult offenders.
  • For Parole/Probation Officer P11: Two years of professional experience working with adult offenders, including one year as a Parole/Probation Officer 10.
  • Ability to conduct investigations and prepare reports.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and maintain public relations.
  • Valid driver's license and access to an automobile.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare background reports on offenders for sentencing.
  • Supervise offenders on community supervision through probation or parole.

  • Work closely with law enforcement agencies.
