About The Position
The mission, goal, and/or purpose of this position is to support the work and mission of the Kansas Interstate Compact Unit as established by the Kansas Department of Corrections. This position is responsible for managing compliance to statute, policy and procedures regarding the Interstate Compact for Adult Supervision. This position will develop a system to track compliance among correctional professionals in Kansas and across the country. When appropriate, this position will provide technical assistance and training to entities that are in violation of the compacts. This position will monitor compliance with the compact statutes with other states. This position will attempt to resolve violations with other states. If resolution is not achieved, the matter will be referred to the Deputy Compact Administrator to address. This position will work with and provide assistance to the interstate caseworkers and other unit staff.
