About The Position
Responsible work in directing and assisting with the planning, management and maintenance of a park or parks dedicated to the conservation and care of City of Miami Natural Areas for the Parks & Recreation Department. Work involves the responsibility for the care and maintenance of a park or parks dedicated essentially to the growth and development of South Florida native plants, shrubs and flowers. Work requires a knowledge of floriculture of South Florida, as well as habitat restoration, conservation, and preservation methods. The incumbent is required to have knowledge of South Florida plants, their identifying technical names and methods of propagation, treatment, and care. An incumbent will host and conduct educational and interpretive programming. General supervision is received from the Senior Park Naturalist or designee.
