About The Position

The Parks Field Supervisor - Cactus Yards is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operations of parks and recreation facilities in Gilbert, Arizona. This role involves fostering teamwork, planning and scheduling tasks, managing work activities, and ensuring adherence to safety and operational standards. The supervisor will work closely with various departments and community partners to enhance the quality of parks and recreational services provided to the citizens.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D).
• Five years of experience in the maintenance of irrigation systems, turf, parks, and athletic fields.
• Three years of lead or supervisory experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain the appropriate licenses and certifications.
• Valid Arizona Driver's License.
• Certified Parks and Recreation Professional preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with web-based irrigation controllers.
• Experience with budgets and budgeting.
• Experience with work order systems.

Responsibilities

• Establish, promote, and foster a team environment and effective working relationships with parks and recreation work groups.
• Plan and schedule daily tasks, projects, and assignments; coordinate work activities between crews and with outside contractors.
• Oversee the implementation and execution of specific planned programs and activities, promoting risk management and safety.
• Manage work cooperatively with other departments to schedule facilities.
