About The Position
The Maryland National Capital Park & Planning Commission is a bi-county agency servicing both Montgomery and Prince George's Counties. The park systems are managed in both counties and in Prince George's County, the public's recreation programs are developed and maintained. We're looking to fill a Parks/Facilities Maintenance Leader - CDL with the Heavy Equipment Trails, Road & Grounds position. In this role, you'll work with a team to complete major projects, design, construct and perform maintenance and repairs on stormwater structures, operate commercial vehicles and equipment, and help to complete large scale grading and construction project renovations and trial work all while having a positive impact on our county's climate resilience. This position falls within the Facility Services Division (FSD), the largest Division within the Department of Parks and Recreation, Prince George's County. We provide high-quality maintenance and support services for all parks and recreation facilities. FSD has six (6) major work areas: Fleet Management, Buildings & Structures (Trade Shops), Horticulture & Forestry, Major Maintenance & Inspection, Critical Projects (Heavy Equipment, Sustainability, Aquatic Maintenance) and the Administrative section.
