The Groundskeeper (Public Works) performs routine landscaping and maintenance tasks within public works facilities to ensure clean, safe, and functional outdoor spaces.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in groundskeeping or landscaping preferred but not required.
• Ability to operate landscaping tools and equipment.
• Physical ability to perform outdoor tasks in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a long-term visitor's pass to work on federal and military grounds.

Responsibilities

• Mow, trim, edge, and maintain turf areas and public spaces.
• Perform basic landscaping, planting, and irrigation repairs.
• Assist with minor repairs to grounds-related infrastructure.
• Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition.
• Follow safety and environmental standards in daily work.
