About The Position

The Parks and Facilities Maintenance Laborer is responsible for performing a variety of manual labor tasks related to the care and maintenance of city parks, cemeteries, recreation sports fields, and other city facilities. This role involves operating equipment, performing maintenance and repairs, and assisting with special events, ensuring the upkeep and cleanliness of public spaces.

Requirements

• High School graduation or its equivalent.
• Appropriate Texas driver's license.

• Ability to perform assigned duties efficiently without immediate supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, diagnostic, and repairs on equipment in buildings as needed.
• Occasionally operate other light and heavy equipment.
• Trim and cut trees at city parks and the city cemetery.
• Assist with special events as assigned.
• Pick up litter in parks, downtown areas, and other city facilities.
• Perform routine repairs on equipment in the park.
• Assist with water leak repairs on irrigation and recreation sports fields.
• Assist in the maintenance of city parks.
• Load and unload materials and equipment.
• Perform light maintenance and construction duties.
