The Territory Manager is responsible for achieving sales objectives, assessing business potential and creating a strategy to grow their defined territory by building long-term customer relationships within commercial, municipalities, higher education, and much more. The ideal candidate has a passion for sales, organization, timeliness, resourcefulness, and attention to detail.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in direct sales with quota attainment
  • Industry knowledge such as parking, state and local government, smart cities, and intelligent transportation
  • Experience with developing solution-driven presentations and proposals for prospects.
  • Demonstrated ability to actively penetrate and develop new business opportunities
  • Proven experience in achieving and exceeding quotas
  • Stellar relationship skills required to create, maintain and enhance relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Strong negotiation ability
  • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics or other CRM
  • Resourceful, able to balance multiple priorities with a sense of urgency
  • Strong organization skills
  • Technical competence, including advanced proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Travel as required (about 10%)
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and manage sales account relationships within an assigned territory to achieve sales targets, building strategic alliances with key partners and businesses
  • Identify customers’ problems, key business initiatives, and create proposals with appropriate solutions
  • Know the customer and its ecosystem. Develop in-depth knowledge of the customer, their industry, and their needs.
  • Manage and track customer and transactional information into the Microsoft Dynamics CRM system; logging all sales activities within the established processes; keeping customer accounts current and accurate
  • Monitor market trends, identify key targets, and pursue them to generate new opportunities
  • Exhibit at Trade shows (2x per year)
  • Prepare progress reports, territory plans, and timelines for profit goals
  • Identify and implement changes that improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the sales team
  • Ability to accurately forecast bookings for the month, quarter, and year
