About The Position

A Parking Meter Technician I position is available with the City of Fort Worth Transportation and Public Works Department within its Parking Services Division. The selected candidate will provide maintenance duties in support of the activities and services of the Parking Enterprise operations and services. Candidates will be tested on Excel, reading maps, comprehension skills, and various math skills.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED and no experience required
• Valid Texas driver's license
• Must pass Drug Screen and Physical

Nice To Haves

• Microsoft Word, Excel, Access skills
• Customer Service and cash handling experience
• Record keeping such as maintaining daily cash reports, work orders and other miscellaneous reports.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain parking related control devices and markings
• Provide device and sign installation and field maintenance services
• Provide assistance to assigned supervisory personnel
• Act as a positive ambassador for the City of Fort Worth
• Ability to troubleshoot, work with hand tools & power tools
• Working knowledge in electronics
• Working knowledge of GIS
