About The Position

The Operations Manager reports directly to the General Manager of Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport Parking. This role is responsible for supporting and overseeing large-scale parking operations across multiple parking facilities at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. This role ensures operational excellence, financial integrity, safety compliance, and exceptional customer service in a high-volume airport environment. The ideal candidate has prior experience managing large, complex parking operations such as airports, universities, healthcare campuses, or major sporting/event venues.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years of management experience in large-scale parking operations (airport, university, hospital, municipal, or major event venue).
  • Experience managing high-volume customer operations.
  • Knowledge of Parking Revenue Control Systems (PRCS).
  • Strong understanding of revenue collection processes and internal controls.
  • Experience leading large teams across multiple shifts.
  • Proven ability to manage operational and financial performance metrics.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in airport parking operations.
  • Knowledge of valet operations.
  • Knowledge of shuttle transportation operations.
  • Experience with lot maintenance.
  • Familiarity with dynamic pricing or reservation platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations across multiple parking facilities, including garages and surface lots.
  • Manage high customer volume environments while maintaining efficiency and service standards.
  • Ensure facilities are properly staffed and aligned with operational demands.
  • Support valet, shuttle, and lot maintenance operations.
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of Parking Revenue Control Systems (PRCS).
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of revenue collection processes (cash, credit, validation, reservations).
  • Monitor audits, revenue reports, variances, and exception activity.
  • Collaborate with audit and finance teams to ensure compliance and reporting accuracy.
  • Identify operational improvements that protect and grow revenue.
  • Enforce all airport, company, and regulatory safety protocols.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections and ensure proper documentation.
  • Support incident investigations and corrective action implementation.
  • Maintain compliance with ADA requirements and transportation regulations.
  • Promote a culture of exceptional service in high-traffic environments.
  • Resolve escalated customer concerns professionally and efficiently.
  • Monitor service standards across cashiering, valet, shuttle, and customer service teams.
  • Lead supervisors, frontline staff, and operational support teams.
  • Provide coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Assist in workforce planning, scheduling, and labor optimization.
  • Support cross-training across valet, shuttle, and maintenance functions.
