About The Position

The DECC Parking Department is looking for motivated individuals to look after the DECC’s Parking Lots and Ramps. A Parking Maintenance employee takes care of the day-to-day cleaning of the lot and ramps, setting of cones and flag lines, performing repairs within the lot and ramps, and supporting the parking booth attendants and traffic directors during operating hours.

Requirements

No minimum education requirements
Elevated level of customer service
Ability to adapt to change, delays, or unexpected events
Ability to resolve problems and manage difficult situations as needed
Ability to move quickly and safely throughout the parking lot and ramp
Moderate to advanced maintenance skills
Must be 18 years of age or older
Successful completion of reference checks
Successful completion of a background check
Successful completion of a drug test, if applicable

Responsibilities

Clean and maintain the DECC’s parking lots and ramps.
Follow all safety policies and promote a culture of safety throughout the department.
Excellent customer service skills.
Report on parking lot and ramp maintenance to Parking Manager.
Assist Parking Attendants and Traffic Directors during busy times.
Enforce lot and ramp rules, such as maintaining fire lanes.
Set up parking lot with cones, flag lines, and signage.
Lifting and distributing grit and salt products on slippery surfaces.
Monitor the parking lot and ramp during busy events and provide updates on capacity.
Perform basic maintenance tasks, including but not limited to repairs, painting, etc.
Additional duties as assigned.
