Lancaster Asphalt Systems, Inc. is a family-owned and operated asphalt maintenance company serving Central Pennsylvania since 1974. What you'll do as a Parking Lot Sweeper Driver: Sweep parking lots at assigned commercial locations during overnight hours. Hand-pick trash and empty trash cans as needed at job sites. Complete pre-trip inspections of the truck before each shift. Report maintenance or equipment issues promptly to the mechanic or supervisor. Follow assigned routes and complete stops as scheduled. Report site conditions or issues observed at each parking lot to the manager. Travel to job sites as needed, with the longest routes typically 1 to 1½ hours away.

Requirements

  • Experience: No previous experience required; on-the-job training provided. Must be at least 21 years old, hold a valid non-CDL driver's license, and have a high school diploma or equivalent preferred, or demonstrated ability to perform the required work.
  • Reliable & Consistent: Shows up as scheduled, completes routes as assigned, and takes pride in steady, dependable work.
  • Detailed & Safety-conscious: Notices site conditions, follows safety procedures, and works carefully around equipment and job sites.
  • Hard-working: Willing to perform physical tasks and stay productive throughout the shift.
  • Active: Able to lift up to 75 pounds unassisted and get in and out of the truck repeatedly during a shift.

Responsibilities

  • Sweep parking lots at assigned commercial locations during overnight hours.
  • Hand-pick trash and empty trash cans as needed at job sites.

Benefits

  • Full-time schedule, 40+ hours per week
  • Overnight hours, Sunday-Saturday, averaging 8:00 p.m.-4:00 a.m.
