Hertz Arena - Parking Lot Attendant / Directional Parking

Job Description: Parking lot attendants will safely and efficiently direct vehicle traffic to parking lots and spaces during events at Hertz Arena. They will wear a florescent safety vest while using open hand signals and traffic batons to direct incoming/outgoing vehicles. While it is required to stand while directing traffic, there are periods during the event where the attendant can sit.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Employees must have a smart mobile phone with access to internet and email
- Basic math skills
- Must have a reliable transportation to get to work
- Must be reliable and trustworthy
- Ability to communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, patrons and management with English language proficiency
- Ability to provide superior customer service with clear communication and direction to patrons
- Ability to anticipate patron needs
- Ability to make good judgments
- Ability to ensure security of vehicles and account property
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of client/company information
- Ability to perform assignments with minimal supervision
- Ability to work alone or cohesively with co-workers as part of a team

- Stand for long periods of time (4-6 hours)
- Bend, squat, lift, push, and carry up to 25 pounds (signs, cones, barriers, podium, etc.)
- Ability to work and maintain concentration in all weather conditions (heat, wind, rain)
Responsibilities
- Directing traffic in a standing position for a 4-5 hour shift with down time in between to allow for seated breaks
- Greeting and assisting guests by opening doors, directing them to the nearest open parking spots, and helping them to exit vehicles
- Assisting and directing traffic flow to exit the property
- Monitoring the parking lot
- Being alert and aware of surroundings
- Setting up and breaking down of signage and equipment
- Using two-way radios to communicate with other team members
- Observe safety and security procedures
- Positively representing 5 Star Valet by being respectful to teammates and the public in all situations
