About The Position

Campland on the Bay is a full-service, destination RV resort. Located in the Pacific Beach neighborhood of San Diego, we occupy 40 prime acres on Mission Bay just east of Crown Point. The recreation leader’s primary role is to lead, engage, and supervise all recreational activities with sound judgement. Recreation Leaders monitor all games and activities to ensure everything is conducted in a safe manner. Create an inclusive environment that allows all guests to participate, control queues, enforce skateboard park rules and other tasks assigned by management. QualificationsResponsibilities and Duties: •Monitor all vehicles entering and exiting the parking lot •Ensure that all vehicles have an appropriate parking pass •Maintain constant communication via radio to Park Rangers about the status of the parking lot and inform when a space becomes available •Inform guests about the multiple amenities in the park, live music, entertainment, and places to eat •Greet guests and promote good customer service by consistently providing premier customer satisfaction with a friendly demeanor, can-do attitude, develop a rapport with customers •Contact Park Rangers as instructed by management •Responsible for general light maintenance of parking lot, sweeping, wiping down surfaces, emptying trash and picking up light trash •Maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, managers, and all other departments by providing excellent customer service •Adherence to all guests and employee injury and incident reporting policies per the TVM Handbook •Performs other duties as requested, developed or assigned. •Must tolerate working outdoors for long periods, confidently and courteously approach strangers, exercise good judgment, and be able to sit and stand for long periods •Approximately, 25-38 hours/week

Requirements

  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • Good physical condition
  • Knowledge of the rules and regulations
  • Positive, upbeat personality works well on a team, desire to learn and able to multi-task
  • Must be able to communicate clearly in English with guests, and employees to their understanding
  • Have the courage and confidence to approach guests
  • Must have availability to work weekdays, weekends, morning, evening and all holidays
  • On a continuous basis, stand and walk while supervising parking lot
  • intermittently, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, twist at the waist and extend arms above and below the shoulders
  • Push, pull and/or lift equipment which may weigh up to 30 pounds
  • Twist and reach for equipment
  • The performance of outdoor work requires exposure to a variety of weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, intense sun)
  • Exposure to potentially hazardous substances and chemicals and work on slippery or uneven surfaces
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
