Parking Enforcement Specialist
About The Position

Performs responsible specialized work enforcing City ordinances governing vehicle parking; issues parking tickets andplaces thirty-five pound immobilization devices onto vehicles having excessive unpaid violations. Upon completion oftraining, work is performed with limited supervision, requiring the use of independent judgement, and the ability tocommunicate effectively with potentially irate citizens. This position requires the ability to stand/walk/ride a bicycle for extended periods, ride a bicycle throughout most shifts, work in inclement weather and lift up to 35 pounds. WORK SCHEDULE: The position requires you to work nights, weekends, and some holidays.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Must possess valid Florida Driver's License.
- Must successfully complete a sixteen (16) hour training program (Parking Enforcement Certification class) within 6 months of hire.
- Ability to deal with the public required
- Polygraph examination required prior to employment.
