About The Position

The Parking Enforcement Manager oversees the daily operations of the Bethlehem Parking Authority's enforcement team. This role requires a motivated individual who excels in problem-solving and fosters a positive team culture. The manager will be responsible for managing team members, maintaining standard operating procedures, and addressing parking-related issues within the community.

Requirements

  • 3 - 5 years experience in Parking Enforcement, Parking Operations, or a combination of is required.
  • Working within a Municipal or University parking organization is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Proficient in Parking Enforcement management methods and practices.
  • Proficient in parking operations, parking operations equipment and traffic operations.
  • Proficient with modern parking enforcement hardware and operating platforms.
  • Management of Team Members within a team-oriented atmosphere.
  • Experience in onboarding and implementing new technologies and policies to maximize operational efficiencies.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience (1 year preferred).
  • Ability to commute to Bethlehem, PA 18018 (required).
  • Ability to relocate to Bethlehem, PA 18018 before starting work (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Manages Team Members, including hiring, onboarding, training, engagement, coaching, counseling, and performance management.
  • Maintains standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Responds to and resolves inquiries and complaints.
  • Maintains accurate records, compiles and reviews data and related documentation.
  • Manages parking enforcement routes and schedules; identifies parking problem areas and proactively identifies solutions to assist with parking concerns.
  • Participates in a variety of data collection activities pertinent to performance evaluations, complaints, and Parking Enforcement operating efficiencies.
  • Provides and implements necessary procedures and staffing relating to parking control for special events.
  • Participates as a liaison to multiple business and City of Bethlehem organizations.
  • Makes recommendations on the purchase and care of parking and enforcement equipment, software, and applications.
  • Monitors and inspects work in progress and upon completion by consultants and contractors.
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned.
