About The Position

Serves in the areas of parking control and enforcement, information dissemination, dispatch and/or related parking issues. Makes decisions related to parking enforcement based on the application of policies, procedures and established standards. Enforces parking regulations; issues citations; responds to questions, complaints, emergencies; operates computer tablets, citation software and two-way radios; works impoundment of vehicles when necessary. May substitute as dispatcher, operating radio equipment, gate access system and performing clerical functions. Assists with emptying parking meters and pay stations. Works special events, including controlling lot access based on special guest lists, placing or moving cones/barricades. Works home football games, securing lots and selling spaces, etc. Monitors parking lots and garages and runs errands in departmental vehicle. Uses established safety practices to protect health and safety of personnel and property. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED, AND:
  • 12 months customer service/contact experience
  • Ability to speak, read and write clear, concise English.
  • Basic math skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Customer service
  • Oklahoma State Driver's License to drive university vehicles or ability to obtain within 30 days of the hire date

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year or more customer service experience.
  • Familiar with OU's Norman campus.
  • Previous experience working outdoors
